Here’s another interview meme, but this one has the added benefit of “allowing” you to change a question you don’t like.
1. How many of your LJ friends have you met in "meatspace"? (Brucie created this one)
12: adriaanse, auntconi, brogonzo, bwanderson, dimbyd, drumzspace, frunobulax, hippielunatic, icubud, knight_paladin, oncee, senor_biggles. Two of those I met via livespace - 3 if you count my hubby. Most of the rest were pals from other web-communities that had "room meets". That leaves a bunch of LJFs that I'd sure like to meet! I better dust off my passport!
2. What do you do before bedtime?
Brush my teeth and put on jammies (unless Katie's not home) ;)
3. What would you have changed about your wedding? (Brucie created this one, too - the original asked about your "dream" wedding - bleh)
To be honest, not a thing. We had such a great time! It was very small, with our most cherished family and friends there. The "reception" was an indoor picnic at one of the family cabins, with barbeque sammiches and fixin's, with wedding cakes from Kroger. Nothing big or flashy, but very cozy and fun. Perfect.
... Ok. I might have preferred that one of the visiting kids was velcroed to a wall for the day, but besides that... ;)
4. What is the city of your dreams and why?
It has an art museum, historical museum, children's museum, a great but quirky club where the best bands come and play intimate gigs, it has a good rock and roll radio station, a pops orchestra, and a university. It's near enough to the ocean for a day trip but close to the mountains, too... and it has few enough people that you can enjoy all of the above without tripping over people.
Winston-Salem NC is pretty close. I also enjoyed visiting Salem/Marblehead Massachusetts, and Vancouver in Canada was outright amazing - it was huge, but didn't feel huge.
5. Are you an introvert or extrovert?
Yes. I definitely have my extroverted moments, but I'm primarily an introvert. I need a lot of downtime/quiet time to recharge.
6. Do you trust easily?
Not in general, just a few people. There've been plenty of experiences in my life that taught me to be wary of people. I'm trying, though :)
7. Is there anything that has made you happy these days?
yes :)
8. What’s your earliest memory?
Hmm. I think when I was about 4. I was riding in a wagon down a little hill and couldn't stop, riding out into the street I wasn't allowed to cross. My big collie dog Clancey kept me safe.
9. What should you be doing instead of wasting time on this meme?
I'm hanging out with my honey while I do this :)
10. Do you have a large family?
Not by blood. I'm one of 2 kids and I have only one child. Dad says "we can have family reunions in a phone booth".
11. Would you have 100% safe sex with a stranger for $10,000,000?
No thank you.
12. What’s better to give or to receive?
*giggle. Is this related to question 11?
here’s a double:
13. What were your parents going to name you if you’d been born the opposite sex?
Marshall
13. What is one popular opinion that you don’t share?
It's not an opinion, exactly - but I really don't care for basketball, and I particularly loathe it on tv. squeaky shoes *shudder
14. What’s the most recent book you read?
A book on SQL.
15. What’s your favorite item of clothing?
I don't think I have one
16. What websites do you visit daily?
LJ, CNN, Google
17. Do you like video games?
very few. I had a "no game systems allowed" rule until Michael brought in his X-box. Katie and I both have Nintendo DS-Lites but to be honest I don't know where either of them are. I played Brain Quest and she liked "Hamsters", but we both burnt out.
18. What did you most recently eat?
cheese quesadilla and tomato soup
19. What do you like for breakfast?
PopTarts! If we go out, I like scrambled eggs, breakfast potatoes, crispy bacon, and toast with apple butter. *smacks lips and drools.
20. How many questions did you change? Come on ‘fess up.
I used Bruce's version of the 2 he changed, and cut out a couple of duplicates someone along the way left in.
