Just a teensy bit more than a week! Squee!
DENNIS - Joeri is DARLING! How adorable is this duet?! Squee! Happy birthday, little man!
Poor K - the kids across the street just find endless delight in tormenting her - this morning she got on the bus with little tears running down her cheeks and begging me to come with her. :( I don't know what to do to help her - they've won before we even get there, you know? We were crossing the street and the girl said to the boy "Katie Alert!" and he ran and got a play gun and started "shooting" her. Katie told him to stop it, and he kept going, then the girl took the gun and started "shooting" her. Sigh. The girl's mom told her to put it away so then they pointed their fingers at Katie and going "bang bang".
It's the kind of thing she could probably be better prepared to handle if she had siblings, who seem to have just the right knack for torturing teach other ... but that isn't going to change so I need to teach her some better coping techniques.
Any ideas on dealing with meanies? I won't call them bullies yet but they're well on their way...
