Mini Vacation Part II

aaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh
Having an ABsolutely lovely, relaxing time.  We hooked up with S&B and spent the day together.  The girls are like little peas in a pod - singing, dancing, carrying their notebooks and drawing/writing notes... they decided they would be sisters today :)  I giggled and thought of me and Judy telling people we're twins - though we were born about 6 weeks apart.  It's always fun to make people's heads do that "HUH?" look ;)

I tell ya - one of the things I like about hanging around with S - we decided 2 years ago that we would only be platonic. It's enabled us to become really great friends with none of the "stuff" that goes with unclear boundaries.   I couldn't even tell you what all we talked about today, it was just "normal" - our friends, our work, the girls... at one point we were sitting on the sofa while the girls were watching tv - he was on his laptop and I was working Sudoku.  I walked across the room and sent him an email "you know, we're complete geeks."   *giggle

It was a perfectly lovely day of doing very little - we had lunch, did some shopping, then hung out in the hotel swimming pool for hours before going to see "Meet the Robinsons" - a rather odd but sweet little movie.  Last night, K was up past 11 p.m. bouncing around.  Tonight she sacked out around 9:30.  I may soon follow, if a particular someone isn't online for chatting, that is :)

Tomorrow's plan is to get together after breakfast  (they live about 30-40 miles from here) and hit the children's museum, then probably back to the swimming pool for awhile.  Just another slow paced, easy day.  In other words - as silly as it sounds to go to Toledo for a vacation, this has been exactly what I needed.

vacation, friends
