An update of the seemingly never ending plethera of things I do :-)

So, life's great and I wanted to let you all know.

I've been up to a lot around here in the quaint little town of Batavia and at school. I'm doing well at school and I'm sitting around waiting to get excepted to UIC. But, new news, I might not go to school in the fall. I've recently been thinking about how I really want to get into a lot of different types of activism and I've applied to serve in Green Peace in for the fall semester. I'm not set on anything yet but I should get a call from them in the weeks to come for a phone interview. I'm also looking into an internship with AFSC (american friends and services committee, or council..) I've been evaulating how I really want to be able to have an office and at the same time really be doing something. I know teaching is a great thing, inspiring kids to get out there, but how can I do that if there are still areas of my life where I haven't been? There are so many political (not just american politics) issues, social, and environmetnal that I really want to be a part of.
Recently i've gotten active with the Illinois coalition for peace and justice (ICPJ.org or com, not sure) and I'm doing the student outreach for the state, which I think i've mentioned. currently i've contacted over 30 schools activity directors and such to get their groups out to the April 1st conference in Champaign Urbana. (Nick, we'll have to hook up while i'm down there). That's been a lot of work, but it's been awesome working with the people I have been. they are from groups all over northern illinois that work for peace and justice. I like being a part of something greater than myself and I hope that this becomes something really great. 50 years from now i'll be able to tell my grand kids that I helped form something that had a great effect to end the war in Iraq and whatever else we accomplish. It's a nice thought.
Other stuff. on campus we're still trying to fold 1000 cranes, it is such a time consuming project, we might not finish the 1000 by the end of march, but atleast it will be a great display.
Waubonsee Democrats is an official club, with help from Marcus and Adrian (a kid from school). Hopefully we'll encourage people to get involved, not necessarily with the club but rather just getting them to hear the views that are out there, become knoweldged about the candidates and get out there and vote. (MARCH 21st! the primaries! vote john laesh!!! not HASTERT... mr. sit and do nothing, atleast check out Laesh and Ruben Zammaora, the two candidates on the ballot)
Laramie project is getting headway. We're going to be doing the play I believe the last weekend in April. Everyone should come home and see it. Good times.

Other than school stuff
Houlihans is fun. I'm really enjoying waitressing. I make good $$ too, always a plus. I really like being able to be sociable with our guests.
Jimmy Johns...ahhh... I tried to quit, they convinced me to stay one day a week and close, jsut cuz they need people to work. With everything and school, two jobs is definately trying on my time.
Bonnaroo! I'm going! June 16-18th. In Manchester? Tenn. Which ever, 80,000 people all jammin to great music. There are really good bands that will be there too. oyseter head (trey anastasio, guitarist from phish, les claypool, and someone i can't remember) Beck, Bright Eyes, Clap your hands say yeah, Mike Gordan, and.... *drumroll* Tom Petty! yeah! i'm really excited
My steel drum concert is on April 29th. if anyone wants to come back for that, same weekend as the Laramie project.
Mike and I are still going strong! one year on feb 10th. exciting. he's awesome. i can't say it enough. and i feel bad because I can't always be there for him, physically, because i'm so buisy. oy vey am i buisy! :-) should be better now that i'm not working as much. He's starting a band with a kid Keenan called Toy Boy ( i'm not too fond of the name but if you say it enough really fast it sounds like you say Toy Boat..ha, yeah that phrase) i'm going to try out to play tamboureen for them. hahahah. can't you picture it now. Justine and her tamboureen...it just sounds so right!

I miss you all, i really do. I wish you were all here so I could share what a great time i'm having with you, but i'm sure your all buisy bees too. Pretty soon i'll take digpics of the stuf i've been doing in art and stick um up here so you can see. Cool stuff i'm tellin ya. I just made a blender/bird. it's funny because it looks like it's scrambling it's nest... a little ironic.

For now, my hand hurts, that was a lot. Sometime, guys, give me a ring or an email or just reply to this. I miss ya and would love to hear from ya all. If your gunna be in town too give a ring. hope to hear from ya all.

With this little song

"What is Life"
George Harrison

What I feel I can't say
But my love is there for you any time of day
If it's my love, that you need
Then I'll try my best to make everything succeede
Tell me
what is my life
with out your love
Tell me
who am I
without you
buy my side?

what I know
I can do
if I give my love out to everyone like you
if it's my love that you need
Then I'll try my best to make everything succeede

Tell me what is my life
with out your love?
tell me
who am I
with out you
by my side?

tell me what is my life without your love?
Tell me who am i with out you by my side?

*guitar solo*
*tambourine enters*

What I feel I can't say

If it's my lvoe that you need
then i'll try my best to make everything succeed

tell me what is my life with out your love...
*repete refrain and fade....*

And this

ugly stray
Amy Annelle

1,2,3,4.. *guitar*

Who's that sleeping under the poarch?
Have you seen him before
You don't mind him sleeping out there but when he comes near the door
you say
go away
go away
go away you ugly stray
and he walks away
to quite place where no ones abvoe you
I said leave him alone
everybody needs a home
and where would you be if no body loved you
sleepin in back yards passin time
by the river...
ridin in strange cars, stayin awake
till you can see the lights

wake up, the dream is fading,
are you sure, that wern't no dream
the objects in the mirror are farther than they may seem

go away
go away
go away you ugly stray

and he walks away, to make our final arangements on the pay phone

blowin this old town got a one way ticket out
with now ground below and no sky aboe you
to quite place where no ones abvoe you

sleepin in back yards passin time
by the river...
ridin in strange cars, stayin awake
till you can see the lights
