OMG, I can hack a Firefox extension!

Believe it or not, I used to be able to develop and program a computer (and yes, I can choose the perfect time). Admittedly, nothing more complicated than BBC Basic, HTML and adjusting a Javascript code, but I did think I'd lost those skills.

Better yet - I've now hacked it so it works on all webpages, not just LJ ones! and I think I can edit the menu options etc. as well.

Now, can I just upload a new version of a Firefox extension or create a spin-off? It's not Creative Commons licensed, alas...

What other websites did you get it to work for? I was tinkering with lj-hook as well because I wanted to make the text manipulation stuff available on wordpress but I'm finding my programming skills aren't that great.

But yeah, if you've expanded the functionality of the extension and fixed all the stuff in the 'automation' section; randomize icon, insert current music from foxytunes and set privacy level, then yeah I'd say go ahead and release a spin-off.

All I managed to do was to enable the filter that "activated" LJ Hook on LJ, to work on all sites. I've never used it for the other areas .. but I might be able to do some investigation. Although I don't actually have any programming skillz per se...
