How do you keep warm in bed?

Up till now, I've been sleeping in an old duvet that I've had for students' years, with a multi-coloured bedspread on top to try and keep the chill out.

Yesterday, I thought I'd take advantage of the January sales, and ended up buying a combination non-allergic 15-tog duvet, which I'm told is the warmest you can get ( Read more... )

Hmm, should be warm enough. How about taking a hot water bottle with you to get you kickstarted?

I didn't give up my 4.5 tog duvet until December; during the autumn I put a blanket over the top. I'm now using my 9 tog duvet and it's freezing here! I do have a duck down and feather filled duvet though which I've found to be warmer than polyester filled ones. My flat is pretty warm to, I didn't switch my heating on until November!

The hot water bottle is a great idea.
