So yeah, I spent a fuckton of money at AX.
I bought the complete series for Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, Gurren Lagann, and Baccano!, which sort of leaves me at a loss because my friend bought me the first DVD for Baccano back when they were like, still selling them that way. Apparently Funi only sells box sets for Baccano now? I don't know, that's what the guy at the booth told me when I asked him.
I also bought a creepy amount of prints from
bluefox . Seriously, I was hovering over her booth like a complete and total stalker.
So, yeah.
I GOT MY HINABN POSTER SIGNED, AND LIKE a tshirt and then yeah they were completely out of books by the time I got there and it was maybe like, 3pm on the FIRST DAY so that was kind of incredible. UHm, what else.
I got the whole case (sans Yuki) of Haruhi Suzumiya to sign a poster for the new movie, which was insane because I really was only there trying to get Crispin Freeman's signature and I wasn't even aware there were other people at the autograph table until I got up there and they handed me a (free!) poster to get signed. It was great. THEN THEN THEN SHUT UP THEN after waiting for an hour in line they told us that the signing was ending in 5 minutes, so they counted off the last ten people in line and I swear to God I was the last one I don't know how I am never that lucky ever.
The whole weekend was full of ridiculous luck though. On Friday, we ran into LittleKuriboh in the hallway walking to his booth, and stopped him to like, fangirl or whatever you'd call what we did. I got my picture taken with him, which I am too lazy to post here. Huzzah! Also Kyle Hebert, because we followed him around the con with a cloud of other people after his panel in order to ttly get his signature.
ALAS, I DID NOT MEET VIC MIGNO-- /snort I can't even type that.
Also we got interviewed by like 3 podcasts, wtf?
UHM UHM I'M BAD AT THIS. I did other things but I forget what they were. Maybe I'll post some of the pictures I took if I ever get around to resizing them, etc.
