FANGIRL FRIDAY. OKAY. I HAD THE POST FINISHED. PHONE DIED.
So, I give up. I really do.
The point, boiled down... was that despite everything going on, it's SO important to go on laughing and loving things- even stupid TV shows, etc, etc.
Fandom makes you part of a community, which produces some amazing art. Also important.
Paying attention to what's going on, connecting, listening- it's so important right now.
But so is taking care of yourself. Sharing little joys. Keeping morale up. (Maybe I should be a self appointed morale officer?)
In her book, The Princess Diarist Carrie Fisher says this:
"I am someone who wants very much to be popular. I don't just want you to like me, I want to be one of the most joy-inducing human beings that you've ever encountered. I want to explode on your night sky like fireworks at midnight on New Year's Eve in Hong Kong"
So go, fight that good fight. Just remember to take a minute. Smile when you can. Be the fireworks in someone's night sky. Love you all.
