Last week the power cord for my Macbook stopped working. Not entirely unforeseen... the last replacement cord I got seemed flimsy, and the sheath had started cracking and falling off. I'd been electrical-taping it for a while.
I bought a replacement. In the four days I've had it, it's failed to charge my laptop three times until I unplugged and replugged everything over and over.
Apple cords are expensive and returning it and buying another is going to be a hassle. More worrisome, though, is the possibility that the cord isn't the problem. If it's the receptor that the plug connects with that's failing, then it'll probably be so expensive to repair that it won't be worth it, for such an old laptop. But I love that laptop. There's no way I can afford another Mac, so if this one is dying, I'll have to go back to Windows, bleah. And lskdfj; laptop shopping, nooo.
So, here's hoping. Come on, new power cord. Fix everything.
