anti ACTA, pro Last Station... maybe

First up, sign this thing: Just Say 'No' to ACTA. Yeah, I know, internet petitions never change anything. Except for helping to get journalists freed from detention, keeping sewage out of waterways, stopping drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, and saving dogs, cats, elephants, and bears (Slacktivism: Why Snopes got it Wrong About Internet Petitions) saving homes from foreclosure, immigrants from deportation, and political protesters from prison (Petition Victories - Winning Online Petitions at Change.org.)

More frivolously, I picked up a copy of The Last Station recently and I still haven't watched it, solely because I saw a clip from it in which James McAvoy's character, Valentin, is talking with his idol, Tolstoy (Christopher Plummer) and Tolstoy bursts into mocking laughter at Valentin's naivete. /o\ ;_; I know I want to watch it, but arrrgh I just felt so bad for Valentin even in that tiny clip! I think this might have to wait for another day when I feel less hormonal. I'm in a real "keep the tissues handy and eat ALL the chocolate" place right now.
