fall fandom free-for-all
Part of one of my XMFC WIPs exactly fit a request over at the Fall Fandom Free-For-All, so I shared a scene from it: " Every time Erik went to a GradQueer event, someone introduced him to Charles because they're both mutants. Every time Erik went to a Mutant Pride event, someone introduced him to Charles because they're both gay. For months, Charles was just that one guy Erik exchanged a lot of long-suffering looks with..."
That's actually excerpted from the very first story I started in XMFC (after the initial cuddling ficlet I wrote for
helens78, anyway.) It's a college AU where everyone has their powers and they all go to the same university, titled Super Crazy No-Way School. (After the first quote here.) Then I found out that there's already a very funny college AU that's basically the most widely recced fic in the fandom, and put Super Crazy aside. I still love it, though, so I continue to tinker with it between Hellfire AU marathons and other WIPs.
Btw, more quick hits of XMFC meta over at Tumblr: Telepathy: kind of sucks, aktually and Charles vs. Professor X and Charles/Erik headcanon. Also a snippet of Sex Kitten, yet another WIP. The bunnies are endless.
