wip thoughts
I told myself I wasn't going to post any WIPs in SGA fandom, because I have a string of unfinished WIPs in my fannish past, and I feel bad about them. Buuut, I actually already broke that resolution months ago, with all the drabble series I started during mcshep_match that I haven't finished yet.
The next Bakery story has been stuck for what seems like ages; I've literally been working on it for over a year. Some parts of it are as old as the first Bakery story. I have the ending laid out in notes but I keep not writing it. So I think I'm going to post the first half of it, hoping that the pressure of having one part posted and unresolved will push me to finish it off already. And if it doesn't, at least half of it will be out there so anyone who'd like to read it can enjoy it. Soooo... yeah. That.
ETA: I also meant to post about this. Mallozzi apparently tried to tease what the SGA movie would have been about: "For what it's worth, it involved a return mission to Pegasus, the tragic end of one relationship, the beginning of another, and a surprising progression in the alliance between one man and one wraith."
Of course, what I'd like to read into that is: the tragic end of McKay/Keller when, let's see, Rodney discovers he can't have children (that's the tragic) and since Jennifer wants kids and Rodney isn't keen on adoption/surrogacy/etc., they break up; and the beginning of John/Rodney, after a detour through some John/Todd UST.
What it probably involved: Kanaan getting killed off, John getting some boring female love interest, and John and Todd teaming up to kerplode some enemy hives.
