Warnings for light bondage and psychological BDSM. Establishment D/E backstory, but stands alone.
Notes: I never really intended to write out anything of the JRD/Dom backstory for the Establishment, and when I started to write last night, I meant to work on my horror WIP for Halloween. So ( Read more... )

Yaye trip.

I don't think I'll have more JRD stuff but who knows? O.o

But I am writing Dom's first time with a boy evah. It is a strange situation. Maybe a little hurty. We'll see!

Oh, wow. The pairing made me pause for maybe a complete millisecond, but oh. The youngness of Dom in this, the way he thinks he knows what he's doing but really, really doesn't. And the way JRD is so aware of all of this, and oh.

*runs off to rec*

Thank you! It's kind of a recurring cliche in the Establishment that a lot of character had bad experiences with 'villain' dom characters-- Dom being one of them in a way, since he had scened with Cate and she wasn't very good for him.

But Cate, the domme who was definitely not the right person to scene with Dom, didn't really hurt him in any important way. John, who's a very good top and good for Dom, is the one who inadvertantly hurt him by cutting things off with him with the best intentions and for very good reasons. Dom is way too clueless to be doing what he's doing, but he'll keep doing it anyway. Tch!

God, Dom is such a PUPPY in this! And so very clueless. I think I need to go back are re-read the beginning of the whole Dom/Elijah story.

In other news, I am now OBSESSED with the Est. I don't know whether to blame you and Ana with your hotter than hot Dom and Elijah or Dee with her meltingly hot Orlando. The blame is probably more on Dee because Orli is involved with so many different characters. Because of Orli, I'm now following Harry Sinclair, Billy Cruddup, Eric Bana, Sean Bean, Karl Urban, Stewart Townsend, Craig Parker, Tom Felton, and possibly Daniel Radcliffe. I spent a large part of my weekend reading backstory on all of these characters, and I've barely made a dent.

oopsies! possibly what you need then is a JF and to join the sort of discussion fangirly group - I hear it's better to do all the squeeing and dissecting in a group... *gg*

i don't mind taking part of the blame. *cuddles*

I had a feeling you wouldn't mind. *g* And I do have a JF account! I'm zoniduck over there as well, because I'm lazy and forgetful. I haven't joined the discussion group yet though. I've been too busy devouring Karl/Stuart backstory.

Just wanted to pop in and say that the Est as a whole welcomes discussion and feedback and we really love our fangirls. And we're lucky, not only do we have some amazingly talented writers, but several of the readers have insightful things to say.

In other words, come on in, the water is fine!

Glad you liked it! Surely anyone can be sexy, just takes finding the right angle. It's not hard to see what Dom would find appealing in John, the powerful self-assurance with just that tinge of vulnerability during the LOTR shoot due to his self-consciousness about the latex-induced rash on his face.

Btw, just to reiterate, the AU of Nic and Billy = my brain fizzing happily in my skull. DAMN.

I simply can't fangirl this story enough. Not only it is brilliant as a standalone, but it gives so much insight into Dom's character and show's how far he's come since then.

Everything, John reflects, is over one's head when one insists on burying it in the sand.

Love this line!!

Thank you! I did enjoy doing this John voice, prompted by his measured way of talking. Interesting for me to try to write how I imagined him: not at all shy of pornographical description but somehow circumspect. I'm glad you liked it!
