http://community.livejournal.com/unniefic/86234.html Jinki is all about earnestness and being eager but still a gentleman. It meant that he showed up to a restaurant dressed appropriately, though his shoelaces might be undone, and that that strand of hair slowly making away across his forehead was deliberate and not accidental.
All in all, Jinki was as close to Victoria's perfect man as she was going to get.
He didn't try to up her or convince her that he could be the perfect boyfriend -- he just was. He took her hand when they walked together, sometimes putting it in his pocket with a shy smile when it was cold, but not taking the extra step and lacing their fingers together. They weren't at that stage yet.
Hell, they weren't there yet but he still manages to inject the L word into every conversation he's ever had with her.
Sleep well, I love you.
Happy Valentines. I love you.
Where would you like to go for dinner? I know you like Italian, and I love you.
It was intimidating, and she was always too cautious when he said it after a chaste kiss, smiling and doing the best to return it. The best she's managed is, You too. The hurt expression he has after she drops his hands and turns to go back into her apartment has her heart screaming to just say those three words, to just say them even if it's not true... yet.
unsubmitted; too short.
