Hey everyone, tis my turn with the profile this week and when I signed up I decided to go for Mackenzie Crook as I’d seen him in a couple of things and wanted to find out a bit more.

So here we go with a profile of Mackenzie Crook

So let’s start with a few basics he was born in 1971 in Maidstone, Kent, UK. He grew up in Dartford, also in Kent, and started out as a stand-up comedian.

He then moved into TV acting and while he was in programmes before it he first became really well known as Gareth Keenan in The Office (Gareth‘s website).

And finally to finish us off here’s a quote from him in an Access Hollywood interview:

“Yes, there is humor to be had there, mainly through his social awkwardness,” Mackenzie told Access Hollywood. “I think there’s quite a bit of scope for humor and I don’t know how much scope there is for the rest of the show in this - it’s quite a serious role that they’ve created. … I’m not saying it’s gonna be relentlessly grim, but if they need some comic relief, they’ll come to Rudy.”
