Back from a notoriously final week of camping at the old Lago de Blanco. So yes Darin, we did complete the final chapter which is now available for you to read at most local bookstores. The week was beautiful aside from the rain. I love the three girls that I've been camping with since '99. Devan for her spontaneousness and ability to make me pee from laughter. Hilary for her boldness and ability to slap asses very very hard. And Alexis for her cleanliness and ability to run through thunder storms and stay up until 1 am talking to me. This year, we did everything we always said we would do in the past but never did. We ate at Pizza Barn, wrote our names on the bathroom door, went shopping in N. Conway, and even mud wrestled in the rain. Glorious.
I hate how in the summer you always say you will have time. Time to see the people you never get to see. Time to read good books. Time left to create exciting new stories out of memories. But I haven't seen the people I never get to see. I only read one good book. I did make some memories. Now I understand the summer isn't over yet, but in some ways it feels like it is over.
At least I'm a senior at last.
Listen to the word.
Senior. Beauty. Pure beauty.
