Today's funness and fullness
There is a store in solvang that sells remnant fabric from a dress making company for $1 a yard so my mom and I went to see if I could find anything to make swags for my bedroom. Oh my... what a dump. There is rolls of fabric that have been sitting there for 5 years... I've been there a few times and they still have the same fabric. I'm sure they have some new stuff too, and if you lucky you can find some REALLY nice stuff... my mom made me a gorgeous formal out of fabric from there once. Beautiful. But today was a bust. Oh well.
Then we went to one of the danish bakeries in Solvang and had chocolate eclairs... the really good kind... *drool*
Then we went to wal-mart and I scored some really cute jackets and skirts on clearance ( i know... walmart clothes... i never find things at walmart), and walked away with two skirts and two jackets for $40. I'm trying to build up my professional type wardrobe. I still dont think there is ANYTHING wrong with jeans.
We ran into this lady at walmart who started to talk about how horribly teachers dress and how there was an article in the LA Times about how teachers need to dress better and so on. She kept going on and giving me dirty looks and said how she was on a school board and how the teachers dressed so bad. Ya... shut the heck up lady. I love it when people say things like "i've been on a school board before" and so therefore she knows all about what its like to be a teacher... pfft.
Then the mommy took me out to Red Lobster where I proceeded to eat a small ocean... two lobster tails, snow crab legs, and shrimp scampi. I'm so full I'm not sure i'll even be able to eat anything for the rest of the weekend... no room!
