I haven't written in a really really really long time. I don't actually know why I am wrting now... probably because I have been around middle school students for so long that I wanted to make sure I still knew how to write a paragraph.
Also, maybe because at this point, I am doing more "staying afloat" than actually teaching... More damage control than influence, more "sit down and shut up" than "let me show you this cool thing!" and I feel kind of like taking this job was a bad call.
It's probably just today, but I feel kind of like I want to scream. And/or hold a few kids heads under the sink while it's running. Unfortunately both of these things are frowned upon by educators.
Just kidding about the sink thing, by the way.
