Daddy's Little Princess
by. Victoria Felt

This is my eff-ing autobiographical short story! TAKE IT! IM HELLA EMO!

There once was a girl who loved her Daddy so much. He called her princess as he held her in his arms and told her he lovd her. He would take her and her brothers and sisters to the park and swing them on the swings until they were so high up they screamed for him to stop. Than he would take them to get ice cream or play video games. There were also those times where they would be on there way to Popies House of Spinich when their car would all of a suddenly "break down" in the Dairy Queen parking lot.Her Daddy made her feel special and she loved him very much

Than her Daddy got a new job, a job where he had to drive these enormous trucks all over the country. She saw less of her dad and missed him very much. She would wait for him to come home for long trips and upon his arrival she would jump into his arms and give him a big kiss. Her Daddy made her feel happy and she missed him very much.

On a cold October night, the night of Halloween, her Daddy was going to take her trick-or-treating for the first time. But Daddy and Mommy said they had to tell us something. They said they had to be apart that it was time for a divorce. The little girl didnt understand but had to clutch her heart to try to keep it from breaking. Her Daddy made her feel confused and she cried very much.

The little girl met reality and it shook her very hard. At 8 years old a heart shartered it to many pieces not ever be whole again. The legal battles raged and raged not sure of what to come. And the dreams of reconciling and a family once again were shattered by the hatred on both of the telephone ends. She wanted to see her daddy more than once every other month but her daddy was always busy and never seemed to be able to get off work. Her Daddy made her feel sad and she wanted to see him very much.

The little girl got older and her Dad wasnt there. She looked for his love but never could find what was lost that cold October night. She didn't understand why he didnt have time, for just a little letter or a phone call. Her Dad still told her he loved her and wanted to see her, she loved his visits too but it just wasnt enough. Her Dad made her feel like she wasn't good enough and she wanted to feel like he cared very much.

Her father started slacking more and the calls were much less frequent and she started to feel hurt. What was wrong with her and why didn't he care was it something that she had done. Her father said he loved her but she no longer believed. If he loved her so much than why did he make her hurt so bad. Her Father made her feel unloved and she wanted him to stop hurting her.

The little girl is no longer little nor her daddy's princess, she is a teenage girl with a broken heart. A broken heart that is so much deeper than the heartache of kids today, a broken heart that all it has ever wanted was to feel loved and whole again. If she says she hates him o so much then why does she cry so silently at night. Doug made her feel like no one will ever care for her and she wanted him out of her life.

She was Daddy's little Princess, and now she is just an inconvenince.
