AWWW, THANK YOUUU. I thought the only thing my handwriting had going was its ability to stay on a straight line without the margins. LOL.
Cook's belly FTW!
A fellow Matchbox Twenty fan?! *hugs you and never lets go* They're so underrated, it's unfair. I love you even more now, seriously. So, hi there. What's your favorite song?
dude, worship that ability -- ALMOST NOBODY ELSE HAS IT.
bahahaha i will never get over that.
oh shoot, i'm not sure! my parents loved it so i basically grew up knowing all the songs off the first... or was it second? CD. and then later i looked more of it up myself. but for a long time when i was younger i was enraptured with Hand Me Down. so i guess that one?
Oh! I just remembered I just had a dream about meeting Cook, and the first thing I did was put my hand on his jelly belly. LIKE HE WAS PREGNANT.
Your parents are way too cool. Hand Me Down is such a beautifully sad song. I'm constantly in awe with Rob's songwriting and I think they're one intelligent, sensible band. They can churn out songs that are so relatable but at the same time, you have to stop and listen to get the full impact.
BAHAHAHAHAHAHA. THAT IS HILARIOUS. NOW I'M GOING TO HAVE HORRIBLE DAYDREAMS ABOUT COOK BEING PREGNANT AND ALL THE POUTING AND TAKING-ADVANTAGE-OF-EVERYONE THAT WOULD OCCUR.
(sorry about the caps, but like. fffff! that is HILARIOUS. in case you didn't catch it the first time.)
my mom is invariably cool -- she and i gushed over david cook's album while hiking a few weeks ago. she was all "there's pretty much no song on that album i don't like." i was like "MOTHER~~~~"
and i -- i love the meaning behind that song, and countless others. that CD is very special to me, actually. The Difference actually inspired me to write some fic (i couldn't tell you what it was about at all) because the lyrics touched me so much. rob is brilliant. we got to see him in concert here (just him as a solo artist, not matchbox twenty, boooo!) but he's amazing and also said "fuck" when his sound system messed up momentarily, which like made my pre-teen life. my mother was caught between disapproving and amused. it was nice.
...hmm, reading that whole "no album blah blah blah" thing it kind of -- I CANNOT FATHOM WHAT I JUST WROTE. i meant it to mean she loved the whole thing? idk, just in case you were wondering what i was smoking when i wrote that, it's sort of my bedtime, haha.
Please, do not apologize for the caps. Your brand of humor gets me laughing for days.
That's the power of Cook! Bringing together millions of squeeing mothers and daughters through both in music and hotness. We have an expression here to describe hot men. It's 'laglag panty, ikot bra' which directly translates into 'drop [your] panty, turn around [your] bra'. Random sharing. Haha.
I know what you mean. Matchbox defined my high school days. The Difference! Aw man, I remember that song made me feel so vulnerable even though I couldn't entirely understand it then. For all you know, This could be, the difference between what you need, and what you wanna be~I'd love to read that fic, by the way. *nudges* You got to see Rob in concert? How awesome is that! Haha, your mom~ Hug her for me, yeah?
*approves of your rambly stories, and other stories you'd like to share*
also, MATCHBOX TWENTYYYYY~ sometimes i feel like the only person who likes them, and then this happens. hi.
