first apartment without roommates
I get the keys to my very own apartment today. I have never lived on my own. I've had roommates. I've spent a lot of time living with my mom. I have never lived alone.
Everyone keeps asking me if I'm excited. Duh!
People also keep asking me what's the first thing I'm going to do? ... and then before letting me say anything, they suggest "walking around naked." No. That's not going to be the first thing I'm going to do. That's not going to be the second thing I'm going to do. Not even the third. I don't feel the need to mark a place as my own, by walking around naked in it.
I will probably sit or sleep, or unpack.
