Lawrence is sitting just inside the gates of the palace, reading some draft or another of the book that he's planning on publishing privately before he dies

Lawrence takes an exhale from the mouthpiece and forces the thick smoke out of his mouth, arching a brow.
"Are you not a little out of the way, Random?" He sets the 'piece back in its proper spot and then walks over to the gate, waving off a wary looking guard.
"I had been planning to go back to the bar, but explaining Sands' disappearance would have been difficult when I returned ... so I was rather stuck, you see."
He isn't very happy about this, really. He walks down the hall and takes several turns before they arrive at a rather solid-looking wooden door.
"So I suppose that I would not be adverse to joining your little caravan back."
There are two rather bleary-eyed men in their early twenties that look ready to at least put up some sort of effort, but they catch sight of Lawrence behind Random and simply shift uneasily.
"So I think that Feisal will be pleased to be rid of him."
The whole bloody car backing up, at Random's insistence, well...
The Prince of Amber leaned his head out the window, and asked, in a bemused tone;
"That you, Lawrence?"

He gets out of the van, because wow, too much time in the car.
"We're on a search and rescue, of sorts."

Possibly the unconscious man upstairs? It seems like the most likely option, but he won't mention Sands until Random does.
He arches a curious brow and swings open the gate.

He grits his teeth.
"Sands."

"Right then. This way. Would you like the tour? I do not doubt that you have seen grander, but Feisal does like his luxuries.."

This is a stroke of luck.

But he nods nonetheless, leading Random into the main hall and then up a rather tall flight of stairs. And then another.
"I do believe you sound nearly as shocked as I did upon finding him face-down in the sand." It would have been so easy to leave him there...

And he's been with Mal long enough over the past three days to know this is a bad thing.
"We're driving back to the bar. Come along?"

He stares at the door- solid means ominous to Random.
"Are we going to have any trouble walking out of here with him?"
Reply
He slides a hand into his pocket and picks out a heavy key to unlock the door with.
"Feisal was very concerned when he first came here. Sands can be rather ... well, you know."

He slides into the room, and glances around quickly for other occupants, just in case. He doesn't know this place.

He looks between the two men.
"Although I have to say, I'm not looking forwards to this."

Lawrence draws the two men to the side and has a nice, stern chat with them. In Arabic, naturally.
"They seem rather relieved to have someone else taking him. He's not particularly nice to them, apparently."
