Continuing to grind through Dynamis, building points. I've finally got a raid I'm sponsoring coming up this weekend! It's Glacier unfortunately, but I'll take what I can get.
Some progress is better than none, and I've now got a request in to reserve whenever the next San d'Oria run is. Really hoping I can grab that. Dynamis - Windurst last night and somehow I managed to win a 100-piece. With a lot of 678, no less. I can't believe that didn't get out-lotted. I'm already past the stage on Bravura that needed T. Shells, so it's just trade bait, but still very welcome. I would very much prefer to work out a trade option with one of the other upgraders for a future M. Silverpiece or 100 Bronzes rather than just selling it outright.
Our Nyzul group now seems to have gelled on a strat that works, for us, against Cerb. I am still plenty happy when we hit the boss floor and see either Khim or Hydra instead, but at least it finally doesn't feel like a 'wasted' run if we do draw Cerb. We seemed to get a much better drop rate with gloves than we did with the leg gear. One more drop and we'll be moving on to floor 80. I really hope for
iniadelphinae's sake we get something besides Askar.
Aside from Dynamis & Nyzul Assault, I haven't been doing much at all on FFXI lately. I've got a small side-project going on but that hasn't really gotten off the ground yet. Finally got Lumberjack though, and discovered there's a Clothcraft key item along the same lines called Fletching, that I might also have to get now. I like crafting well enough that turning in the items for GP was actually kind of fun.
On the work front... Holy GAWD, the job listings in this area are awful. Unless you're in the healthcare industry. If you are, you've pretty much got your pick of available openings. I am back, yet again, at the educational publisher I was working for at the beginning of last year, before I got downsized. It's a 3-week contract and will more than likely be just busywork. At this point though-similar to how I put it above-some work is better than no work.
