Here's the latest. The matter is now before the California Supreme Court to decide whether Proposition 8 is a minor change to the state constitution that voters can make or a major change that requires a two-thirds majority in the legislature.
Considering that, as the article says, California's Supreme Court overturned the ban on mixed-race couples marrying, I'd say my state has a pretty good history here. I remain hopeful.
