Update....bitca
So last night we began the celebrations for my flatmates birthday. We came back from the pub, to a somewhat lonely Dee (no surprise there!) playing clock patience on the kitchen table. We start drinking and talking and joking, all the time this void of bitterness and hostility is draining the mood somewhat.
Anyway, she complains about this, that and the other, one is about trying to find this house somewhere in Hatfield, which we try to do on my map, but can't so she complains at us the whole time and implies we're all inept.
We move to the kitchen table where further arrogance and bitchyness lead us into a conversation about motorbikes, to which my other flatmate says "I'm doing an engineering degree, I think I know what I'm talking about!"
Somehow we move onto World War 2, where she states and repeats no less than 10 times "The only difference between Hitler and Churchill was that Hitler was named, shamed and blamed." For one thing, utter bullshit, for another thing, she had no supporting evidence or further statements, she just kept on with this line, repeating verbatum.
So I hit back, with my superior knowledge of World War 2 politics and preceding history. Shut her up a treat, that is until she once more repeated her somewhat controversial opinion, AGAIN!! I say superior, superior to hers clearly.
So I left it there, feeling smug about myself, and then went to bed, content.
Oh and I helped a friend get to and come back from a job interview, so that was my good deed for the day.
