learning chinese

god, my family makes me so damn mad. i figured i'd take mandarin this quarter so i could get a full schedule. and then suddenly my sister and father makes it all about them.

my dad starts telling me how learning mandarin from a mainlander is stupid and i should learn from someone taiwanese. well, hello! these classes are freaking free i might as well take it and besides if you can understand it does it matter how you're learning it?

so, i'm like whatever i'll just take japanese next quarter, i'm starting to forget alot of it anyway. and the characters are mixing me up.

then my sister is like, oh my god you can't let dad push you around are you going to stop taking mandarin and let dad win?! don't be a pushover do what you want to do, because i'm bitter and hateful and my life sucks because i'm always fighting with dad and i do things to spite him all the freakin' time. (maybe not in so many words)

and it's like dude, it's just a language class, i figured it might be fun. if everyone's going to get all up in my business because of it then i think fun factor goes down to pretty much nil. i'll learn it some other time. i'm totally a new flavor of the week kind of person anyway. i have so very few deep and abiding passions *lol*.

family - a guide on how to stress the little things. arrrrggggh! ok, i'm done.
