okay, im torn, and need your help, Livejournal users...
As you probably all know, im in Anchorage right now. it takes a god awful amount of time to get back to new york, and i end up feeling totally wasted when I do.
im on orientation crew, which means i move in on the 26th.
before i go to NY i want to spend a week in portland.
my best friend, Dakota, is going to Cornell next year. Dakota's boyfriend, Tim is going to a school near cornell. before they go to school around the 15th of August, they are going to NYC for awhile to hang out (Dakota's sister lives there). should i go with them?
this would mean the week before the 15th i would be in NYC, and the week before that i would be in Portland. But, where would I stay while in NY for the week before the 15th to the 26th? Dakota's sister's place is pretty small.... hmmm maybe i don't really have any options here. Maybe I don't have to be in NY for that second week- the one before moving in to SLC- neighboring states, what do you think? Ct? NJ? PA?
Maybe this won't work, but, my idea behind it is- i'd like to spend some time in NYC before I get stuck in Bronxville for the year. Also, I'd like to go to NY and have some time between ariving there and moving into SLC and doing Orientation crew stuff- cause, despite the fact im coming from Porltand (i hope) this time, rather than going from AK, it's still a super long flight, 7+ hours of flying or something ridiculous like that- and i really don't like the idea of being jet lagged like mad my 1st week at school.
does any of that make sense? probably not. Ana got me inspired to plan ahead, I guess.
Then again, going to NYC so early would mean leaving AK so early- im not sure how i feel about that.
