Life is annoying sometimes
Monday night my flatmate told me he is almost certainly going to be moving out of town for a better job in about a month. This leaves me in the predicament of being unable to afford to live in my current flat and the uncertainty about finding a replacement flatmate. So basically, I need to find a new place to leave.
To make matters worse, my workplace, GPC Electronics, is terminating assignments for temporary staff. Less than a month before the second anniversary of starting work there, I am losing my job. Again. Being a temp really sucks, but they insist on operating with mostly temps and making weird decisions about who becomes permanent.
When I got home from roleplaying tonight I went to talk to my flatmate about the fact that I cannot pay my usual share of the rent anymore. He normally would accept such a thing, but tonight he has decided to be angry and will not discuss it, or anything.
On the bright side, I thing I have somewhere to move to that should work out much cheaper. But I still have no job after Thursday, and will have to deal with WINZ again. Which means stand down time and no money for a period. I think that system is dumb. To assume that someone coming out of a job has money to last them weeks makes no sense to me.
