I have been rushing around the city like a mad woman trying to find the right places to take trains get off trains and just trying to get on the right train. I do admit it has been kind of fun. Like how a baseball bat to the knees is fun. Of course I kid.
I do love commuting by train. There is one thing missing that would supplement the ride just great: a soundtrack. I haven't found that yet. I fear that I may have to leave the folk at home and get a new type of music but I don't want to. I'm gonna make the Dylan, the Bright eyes and the Destroyer fit. There is something about twangy guitar music that says " Im a travelin' man" or in my case "a travelin woman." Although I do not face the predicament of being homeless like Dylan's main character in a "Like a rolling stone" I still use the term to describe myself and others who have wandered far away from home in search of something unique.
It hasn't really hit me yet that I am so far away from home or that I will not be returning to Denver anytime soon. I am filled with an excitement that I haven't had in a long time. Wandering around and being in a strange city is contributer to that excitement and for many reasons it has made me want to do landscape art. I can't stop thinking about all of the potential. I can't wait to pull out the sketchbook and get busy. I am really thankful and greatful for all of those who have helped me to get here!
