100 Themes: Fish Eggs

Oct 22, 2009 17:36

So after I finished writing my last drabble, I took like thirty minutes or so to randomly pair prompts with couples in a random order. This prompt was actually the second on my list, but the first one I can't write right now. It's about loss and my only idea is for the loss of a baby and with my cousin in preparation for labor with a high risk pregnancy, I can't let my mind go there. So I decided to go with this one.

Title: Fish Eggs
Theme: #043 Weird ( Theme table)
Characters: Sharpay, Jason
Relationship: Friendship (if that)
Rating: K

Jason stared at Sharpay’s lunch tray with a look of horror.

She looked up, feeling him watching her. “What?” she snapped, causing the others to look.

“What are you eating?”

“It’s called caviar. It’s a delicacy.”

“It looks like fish eyeballs.”

“You’re close,” Taylor cut in. “They’re fish eggs.”

“That’s disgusting!” He exclaimed.

“Don’t knock it until you try it.” Sharpay put some on a cracker and held it out to him.

Jason turned a little green and swallowed hard. Timidly, he took the cracker and took a bite while the others watched on in curiosity.

“Well?”

“It tastes weird.”
