Weirdness
I'm here at work and Ruth Hale looks in my door and says "Oh she's here the Labs open" (hollering this back at her class) so in walk 3 people from her class.
I even say hi to one of the guys and ask what is going on he says hi back and replies "Nothing much".
Of course I want to say to him "Why are you all racing in here?" But it doesn't matter. My check comes from Arts and Sciences. It's just weird. I guess thier researching.
Oh my God, One of them just asked the other on if they knew any plays that came from movies. I am really suppressing the need to tell them that movies come from plays. Things such as;
Amadeus, A Few Good Men, and Doubt. (Which is going to made into a movie starring Meryl Streep.)
I'm sorry. I know that my degree shouldn't make me a snot. It should make me want to educate them, to help them. To be happy that they are taking an acting class in the first place. But it doesn't. It just makes me think they're kinda dumb. And that they don't pay attention when thier professors lecture. And that they aren't well read and that they only care about being apart of the consumer culture. Just buying, consuming, watching, what is popular at the current moment.
In other news NBC canceled one of my new favourite shows: Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip.
I am sad. It was smart and funny and also featured very good acting. Farewell good show. I guess it wasn't popular enough for the mindless.
