You know you're a North Kingstown High School graduate if...
Everyone keep adding to this and repost it.
1. you feel so bad for the kids now who are stuck in that new "prison" they built. (also known as the "fishbowl" because of all the window-walls)
2. you remember how easy it was to just walk out to your car and smoke.
3. breakfast during long hour was a daily routine. (not only was it a routine... but your teachers asked you to bring them back something...)
4. cooney, blaze. yeah, i remember them.
5. you remember the sink in the cafeteria, where all the goth kids hung out.
6. you wish you could go back... or not.
7. you've seen the cafeteria lady around town (you know who i'm talking about...the one with the big hair and drawn on eyebrows w/ permanent make-up...)
8. you had no problem walking across college campus in snow coz you already did it for four fuckin years
9. you don't have a problem having a conversation somewhere with lots of background noise... most of your classes were in the A building...
10. You remember the "candy canes" LOL
11. puddle-jumping and ice-skating between classes became a skill, and you mastered it by the end of freshman year
12. you remember the 'pool' in the H building
13. you remember the idiocy of having the girl's gym on the opposite side of campus than the boy's gym (which of course was the MAIN gym).
14. you remember having to cut-through the main section of the auditorium just so you could get from one side of the A building to the other... or to find an unlocked bathroom... and often interrupted a class watching a movie
15. speaking of which, since there were no walls in the A building, you remember having to go to the auditorium if your teacher was going to show a video
16. if portions of the ceiling fell down on someone in the middle of class, no one noticed, because it was an everyday occurence
17. if you close your eyes and picture having class in the D building, you can STILL hear ms. giroux directing keyboarding class "A... S... D... F... G... H... J... K... L... ;..." ugh!
18. when you hear "the round building" it doesn't sound strange to you
19. you (may) remember the gas leak when they decided to squeeze the ENTIRE student body into the "C" building (cafeteria) at once
20. you remember the days when the majority of students couldn't fit at the tables to eat their lunch... but not many people cared, because it was better to sit on the floor or to go out and get something
21. everyone picked a locker in whatever building they wanted... and most freshmen didn't have one, so they lugged 60 lbs of books around campus every day
22. no one wanted a locker anyway, because you needed your coat, scarf, hat, and gloves just to get from class to class (and usually IN class as well)
23. bathrooms were used ONLY if you were in dire need (or if you needed a cigarette)
24. seeing squad cars with flashing lights pulled-up between the B building and the Round Building became part of the scenery (and this was in the days before there was a school officer)
25. when you hear "Sullivan" you immediately think "guitar", "Beatles", or "weird-irish-flute-thingy"
26. you, or at least one of your friends fell at least one time on the ice-skating-rink that was the path between buildings (and you witnessed several other people do the same thing)
27. you remember 'ultimate frisbee' on the grass between the round building, the D building, and the A building
28. you remember days the P.E. teachers got bored and decided to take the entire class on a walk to Wickford Beach instead
29. you remember having to make it from the back of the S building to the back of the A or D buildings during passing and thinking how insane it was that your teachers were shocked when you were late and out of breath after running and dodging groups of lurkers
30. trying to explain the "rotating schedule" and "campus-style school" to anyone NOT from NK was a hopeless situation, so you just avoided it all together
