I originally posted this on an Animal Communication list I'm on, but I thought that, while some people here will think I'm crazy and roll their eyes, probably some people here will enjoy it. So I thought I'd share it here, too:
My car clock display hasn't worked properly for years - I think there's a loose wire. Sometimes it will come on for a few seconds, but that's all. Tuesday night and Wednesday night, when I was really upset about coming home to a house with no Casey, the clock lit up and stayed on all the way home both times. I patted the dashboard and thanked her both times.
Yesterday morning when I started the car, the clock came on. It does that sometimes, but it's always off by the time I finish backing out of the driveway. This time, it stayed on. As I was driving down the road, I thought, "I guess she's trying to tell me to see the light and to stay connected to her." At that moment, the clock went out. I thought, "Oh...I guess she knows I got her message." Then, "Please come back, honey!" The clock came back on at that exact moment and stayed on all the way to work.
It could be a complete coincidence, but I choose to think that it is Casey-cat letting me know she's still with me.
Also, interestingly enough, what happened yesterday morning in particular has somehow helped me feel better about losing her. I'll probably keep crying hysterically when I'm at home over things that remind me she's gone (like cleaning the litter box, which is much easier without a CKD contributing...), but this has helped me feel more that she really is still here with me and not just...gone.
Thanks for reading!
