Yes, Envy has been updated to the end of canon! FUN TIMES! However, sie is showing up in camp in standard form with all hir souls/stone restored. Through camp magic. Don't worry, sie will be in a hamster ball eventually. I can't resist doing that.
No, I am no longer referring to it as a he! This is the only real difference. When I apped it the first time, I did not know sie was genderless because the convention in fandom and translations is to use he. But Envy is not male! IN FACT, IF ANYONE KNOWS WHAT PRONOUN SIE USES IN THE JAPANESE, LET US KNOW, because Hakuren and I spent like literally a couple hours last night watching Brotherhood to find out and sie never once used one. I. I think it's boku or maybe watashi? But all we heard was KONO ENVY~. So there is not even that clue wrt hir personal identification.
In the app I used "it" mostly because I didn't want to make myself EVEN MORE OBVIOUS with sie and hir (which I used for Viper). Right now I am kind of flip-flopping between the two because . . . Envy is a monster and not really a person so much so I am comfortable using "it" (I wouldn't do that with a human who didn't fit the gender binary, sob). But I will probably default to sie and hir except when I forget and use him. Whups.
