IF YOU REALLY WANT TO GET DOWN TO IT: Go read, or abuse someone else to read, parts where they're talking about Envy. . . And when Envy refers to himself. I imagine people are going to refer to him as a boy, unless there's plot explanation on his gender, and then he'll be gender neutral with his pronoun.

. . . IDEAS, IDK.

YEAH I'LL HAVE TO ABUSE SOMEONE ELSE BECAUSE LOL JAPANESE. He probably will be referred to as a he. Then again apparently Reborn has made it this far without ever using a gender-specific THING to refer to Viper (although sie calls hirself boku). lolol

I'm honestly not surprised! As it's more polite in Japanese to refer to a person by their name rather than him, her, you, etc. Don't quote me, but they tend to use names more heavily than anything else. . . And polite kids try to avoid using I, iirc.

Hilariously, Reborn is extremely rude and calls hir "aitsu" iirc, but he uses this word to refer to like EVERYONE, male or female. So sob. Viper's rude in that sense hirself as sie uses "boku" a whole lot, at least in hir image song and in the bits of anime I've seen.

I actually remember hearing about this a few years back, but I never saw the fanbook itself.
