i actually have about twenty-five songs on my faith playlist. i narrowed it down to fifteen because it seemed like a reasonable number. just change the xx to a tt and you've got yourself a download. :D

she would kill me for having this song on here, but i had to. ignoring the obvious reason why it's here (she's heard all the jokes before), the song pretty much describes her attitude towards men and towards people in general, now that i think about it. she doesn't trust easily and generally thinks everyone's out to screw her over.

this is very much a faith song, as she's got a one-track mind - once she sets her sights on something, she works to make it hers. it also seems to be the way buffy sees her, especially in the very beginning when faith came into sunnydale and she was feeling territorial.
3) sour cherry - the kills

this song seems to describe faith's attitude and sex drive very well. i can't really explain how, but the lyrics and beat make it work. (and yes, this was the song in the promos for gossip girl.)

again, it describes her sex drive and sex appeal. she knows how to get what she wants. i almost went with 'promiscuous', but somehow, this seemed more appropriate.

this song actually is in 'bad girls' - it's the song she and buffy are dancing to in the bronze after taking down the next of vamps. i'm pretty sure they use it in the s3 dvd menus, too. the lyrics are more appropriate for faith after she's gone crazy (and i'm playing her from before that point), but i threw it on here because i love the song and it works really well for her.

this feels appropriate because faith has had a very rough life and a rocky past. being called as the slayer is the best thing that's happened to her because for once in her life, she feels like she's doing something right. she feels like this is the one chance she's got left to make something of herself and she's terrified she's going to screw it up.

this song is actually where i got faith's username ('all you had you wasted' - the second you = allyouhadwasted). it feels appropriate because of the turn she takes towards the dark side later in the series.

it's often said that faith and buffy are two sides of the same coin - that in different situations, one could have been the other. neither want to admit that they could be like the other or are like the other. faith is resentful towards buffy because she feels like she's always going to be seen as second best compared to her.

like i said before, faith feels like having been chosen as the slayer is the last chance she's got left to make something of herself and to not become what everyone told her she would - dead or alone or a loser. she's terrified that she's going to do something to screw it all up (and technically she does, but she hasn't yet).

faith had a rough life even before being brought into buffy. in the very first episode we see her, she's running from a vamp that killed her watcher while she watched. she chooses to run from her problems rather than facing them because it hurts her so much to remember them.
