I was walking to the laundromat by my house today, and I thought, hm. It smells weirder than usual today. Went to the laundromat, picked up my clothes, and when I got back to the weird-smelling spot, it was chaos! And madness! Cause the building was on fire! There were firemen with their hoses and trucks and running about and yelling. Out of control. It was just a little fire, but still. I stood around watching for a couple minutes, amongst a bunch of businessmen ordering food at the pasta factory on the corner of my block. I felt like a part of the neighborhood, it was great.
ALSO. My ridiculous Solidarity Movements professor was wearing his overcoat in the building today and whining about how hot it was, so we told him, take your coat off, doofus. And he shook his head and said, "I exploded." Turns out he ripped the seat of his pants (Rachey style!) so he had to wear his coat to cover it up. He proceeded to hide behind his desk and sort of sliiiiiiide it around whenever he wanted to move. Ridiculous. This is same guy who wore his prescription aviators to class for two weeks cause he broke his regular eyeglasses. Love it.
