stuff and what's happening.
I am at Tech number 2 for Tea: A Mirror to the Soul. It is an American Permier... and also taking forever...
Usually I am a spot light operator (I am for the other four shows) but for Tea I am a deck electrician, which means I page cable, make sure practicals work and are on stage, etc etc. So this means that when there is no cable to page and what not, I get to do whatever. A lot of people watch DVDs and wait until their call, I am content going on the computer and catching up. Sweetness.
So besides a bunch of stuff that I have no time to update everyone about, I have recent news:
This morning I was woken up by one of my roomates at 10:30. A little annoying because I had set my alarm for 11:00 and I didn't get into bed until 5:00am that morning.. but she shook me awake to tell me she was leaving. My first thought was ' um... you leave every morning without telling me, why start now?' But I let her continue to say that she was being let go from the Opera and had to pack right away. Weird! Two of her bosses were in my living room as witnesses to her packing, and she had to get on a plane that afternoon. Why? Because she had people get her drinks at a company party at the opera, and she is only 18. Well thank God I am turning 21 in 5 days and am smarter then to ask my supervisors for drinks when they all know I am under age!! So when I get back from work at 3:00am (or later) I will not have to worry about waking her up as she won't be in the room. Let me rephrase, she won't be in my room. I get a big room all to myself now. I am thinking that I will push the two twin size beds together and give myself a big bed with two nightstands, two lights, and a full closet for my clothes.... which I only need a 1/3 of.... but that's beside the point. :)
My other roomate is exstatic. When I told her she said, "my wish was granted!" She also told me that I can be as loud as I want when I get home because she is a really heavy sleeper and is not easily woken. Awesome. If I didn't have neighbors I would play my guitar when I got home. But oh well. I'm a little worried about how clean our apartment will be though because the girl that left was home all the time (she got really easy hours) and kept the place relitively clean. Well I guess if I am not home long enough to make a mess, there won't be one.... I hope.
In other news:
I am turning 21 on Saturday. What am I going to do?? Run a follow spot for the third showing of La Boheme... and then probably go home and sleep because I don't think any bars will be open let alone liqour stores.
I think Lindsay and a couple other people are planning on getting drunk, videotaping it, and sending it to me like a drunkene-card. That would be all kinds of awesome! But then again, plastered people and electronics.... they don't usually work.... so even if it isn't videotaped I hope they get drunk for me. When I come back we'll really celebrate. ^_^
So yeah, I kind of miss everyone a lot. Oh, the play Todd sent me that I am lighting in the Fall is so far putting me to sleep.... I am really not a political person and the whole play is about politics and what not. ugh. I'll light it anyway. I'm sure that I'll find inspiration somewhere. At least it isn't The Importance of Being Earnest. :P
hungry hungry hippos. And tired hippos. and burnt, bruised, and scraped hippos..... that are having one awesome time.
