Eesh....

I know, I'm slackin' on the whole ''update'' issue. I just haven't found the time. Friday night, my parents and I went down to Musikfest to see Trace Adkins. *angelic music* Yes, all 6'6'' of his hottness! We had an absolutely great time. But, I must say, if the gates open at 6, why can't we just be there for 6? Why the hell must we get there at frickin' 4:30 when nothing even opens until 5?! *doesn't get it* That just made it so much more boring that it had to be. There was nothing to do. I understand that they can't open/sell anything until 5, but then make sure that things are ready so that you can open at 5. That's another thing that ticked me off. In order to buy one lousy drink, you had to get in one long-ass line to buy tickets, then you had to get into another long-ass line to get the frickin' drink. It's like the bit that Ron White does with the coupins. 'Yeah, good chances that I'll get a beer by Thursday.' ALL I WANTED WAS A FRICKIN' DRINK!!!!

Other than that, a fun time was had by all. I took a lot of videos on my phone. It was so funny because when he did 'Honky Tonk Ba-Donk-A-Donk' I was recording it. Then just as the song was over, I got a dead battery signal on my camera. How's that for timing?

Then, last night was Carmen's Sweet 15 party. This, my friends, was a party that everyone should have been at. The food was great (her mom is now one of the best cooks I know.). Carmen looked beautiful in the dress she wore. If I knew how to post pictures and things on LJ, I would. But, Brittany hasn't taught me yet. Her dress was red, with lots of poofiness under it and it had little white polka dots on it. It was really pretty. This was the first time I have ever seen Carmen wearing nails, too. They were really nice, but before the night was officially over, she had them chewed off. Go figure. I was teasing her that I would have paid to see her set in volleyball practice with those nails on. Hehe.
I don't know about Leah, but I am sore as could be from that party. When we first got there, we ate, and talked to Lola, Carmen, and Magali. Then, when things really started rolling, I got up and videotaped the dances they did when Carmen received her tiara, shoes, doll, and flowers. When she got the doll, she was almost crying which almost made me cry. After that, the guys asked the girls to dance which made me really uncomfortable because everyone was dressed up and I wore shorts, a tank top, and my cowboy hat. How underdressed was I? But, we all loosened up and started dancing. It was so much fun. I don't think that I have ever danced so much in my entire life. Magali's friend Joel, kind of taught me how to dance. I don't know how many times I told him that I was just a white country girl with no rhythm. He made it look so easy, then I tried to do it and I looked drunk/high. Then, after a little while, I got it. It's actually pretty easy when you don't look at your feet. That was my problem. I'd try to do the same thing he was doin' and I would eventually trip or something.

So, that was a lot of fun for everyone. Leah and I didn't actually leave the party until like midnight. Then Sang showed up, so, we didn't get to have any fun with her. At first we didn't think that she was coming, but Leah said that she talked to Sang online or something and Sang made it seem like she was coming. Well, I suppose we have to give her some credit for showing up. So what if it was at midnight when just about everyone left?

Well, this has been a long journey for me and it's Sunday. You know what the means? THE RACE IN ON!!!! WOO!!! *cheers* I'm gonna go grab some lunch and watch Race Day Live. See y'all later!!!!
