(no subject)
I'm finally getting to feel better after this drawn out process of pneumonia. $300 and 25 days of prescription meds really does the trick.
My last class was Wed from 12:30-1:50, and ironically enough, I've gotten absolutely NOTHING done in terms of hwk since then.
I was really aggravated Wed night because I had this big research paper due Thurs night, after 3 classes and Amy wasn't letting me sit down and do it--she was constantly in my rm. And when I came back from work at midnight, they were in my rm watching a movie---another opportunity to do my hwk, gone. So I went to bed at 1, kicking them out of my rm, and set my alarm for 5 so I could get it done before class. But I woke up in the morning panicked because it was light out. I look over at the clock and it's black--NO POWER! So, long story short, we had no school thursday--i didn't have 4 classes, I didn't have my big research paper due. I figured all this out at 6:25 in the morning, and Katrina and I chatted like little kids for the next hour because I was so fucking excited I had no school. It was completely unexpected, but the 4 inches of snow we got the night before were really heavy and slushy. Woohooo!!!
And Fridays, I normally have Bio and work study and I'm done at 12, until work at 6. So Fridays are my easiest days, yet my bio class has been cancelled cuz my teacher has pneumonia. (hahahaha) and I was a lazy bum who didn't go to work study.
So you'd think I had all this time to get my hwk done, but I didn't. On thusday night we went out to eat at this cute "burger joint" where food is cheap and you stand at the window sills and eat. It must be cool in the summer because the windows open and it's on a busy st. Then we went to Ms. UNE after where guys are dressed up as girls for a beauty pageant--which was very amusing.
On Fri I went to the Dr's to get some more medicine, and after a very funny night at work of gossip talking I came home to find Katrina's sister and AMAZINGLY GORGEOUS friend here. We hung out, drank some beer and ate some pizza with Brielle, Nicole, Ashley, Katrina, Brit, and Ryan--the only people left on the floor pretty much...it was a really good night.
Today I went to the grocery store to get like 6 ingredients for my artichoke and spinach dip and it took my like an hr because of walking back and forth. I can't stand going to grocery stores I'm not familar with because they're all set up differently. I came back and made that while everyone was hanging out in my rm. And even though I should have been doing my paper or something productive, it was so much fun to just continue the fun and happiness from last night with the same people. I know the suites next yr will be cool, but it will be so much different from walking down the hall and popping your head in someone's rm.
I picked up and extra 6 1/2 hrs of work this week tonight which is cool, and tomorrow I'm waking up nice and early and heading to my Gramma's to pick her up, then head down to Taylor's to have a nice quaint Easter--something different from the big family dinners at my aunts, but I'm excited for our "family" to actually get together...and it is a short drive for me as well as Shae and my mom, so it works out well. :-)
