So I now feel like an official North Carolinian. Justin and I went to the fair today. We woke up late, but got to the fair by like 2:00. I walked in and seriously, it all felt like I was in Charolette's Web. See what I mean..I thought that the rat was going to pop out at any moment and start singing that ridiculous song that gets stuck in my head!
It was cool overall. Dirty as all crap, tons of people that were rude and duck races. You can never go anywhere without the duck races, right? We went to the garden part, and then to the "states largest vegtables/gourds". There was an 869 lb pumpkin! Now, c'mon..that's worth the 6 bucks right there to get in, right? It was wild! It's something like this..
Crazy isn't it. Anyway. So we went there and then went on over and got Nanny and Grandad some ham. And tried some milk. It was good, but I don't know what was so exceptional about it-it was milk. Oh well. Anyway. Got some honey cotton candy and maple cotton candy. Good, but not stuff that I really like. I hate that much sugar at once. So yeah, I'd like it...if I were a cotton candy fan. After that we wnet somewhere. I don't know. But I know that we ended up running into Justin's Mom and her fiance while were in line for water. That was alright, except I really don't know why they went back to the fair, considering that they were there last weekend forever. Anyway. After that we went and got a hot dog thing. And then I realized that the fair is home of fried foods. Particularly the fried snickers..
Now how people eat this along with fried twinkies and not go into diabetic shock right there on the spot, I don't know. But yeah, maybe one day...but definatly not today. So after we ate we went over to the BMX bike stunts and sat and watched that for a while, it was cool. We saw some guys that were on the X Games perform and they did some amazing stunts. AFter that we went over and saw Duck Racing. They had this couple out there from New Mexico, and yeah, they let little kids and adults race real live ducks in water. It was pretty cute. And then we headed on out to the car and came back to my apartment. Rested a little bit, went out to Barnes and Noble and then went to Chilie's and got a bloomin onion (we could of gotton one at the fair..but we didn't due to tiredness and no place to really sit and enjoy each other for dinner) and another appietizer. Then we booked it back to the fair grounds to watch the fireworks, which were awesome. It was our first time to see fireworks together. Greatest experience to do with the one you love, yep yep.
Anyway. Great weekend so far. Justin amazes me more and more each day and I seriously can't wait to spend everyday with him and finally...get married to him. Pray that it comes soon! I'm not trying to rush things, I'm just ready for it all to happen. But yeah, I'm tired and the OU game is in Overtime and I relaly need to watch it! Hope everyone had a great weekend! Take Care..
