Doin' that update thing...

So, work has been really frustrating this week but still fun. I think I've also just been really sleepy and headachy which doesn't help.

Sage Francis was amazing. Andy and I had a great beer-filled time. We were next to the People Having The Most Fun Ever. They were this group of 20-somethings who were very drunk and very horny. Yeah, we were next to the orgy. Also, some guy tried to hit on my woman (Andy) - the nerve of some people. I was like, dude, we could be together - that's just rude.

There were 4 opening acts which meant my decision to wear heels (and then dance and jump all over) was a poor one. Most of the acts were okay, the second act Solliquists of Sound or something like that - they were fantastic. It was this guy and his bald wife named Alexandra. Loved them. Sage was amazing, as usual, and it was great to hear him play a whole show. At Coachella I only got a taste of Sageness. This was more like an entree.

Saturday we decorated the house and I became obsessed with carving my pumpkin. It was a cat and now it's dead. I finally broke down and threw it out today. There was fur growing on it (which I argue is appropriate for cats, but I guess that's pretty disgusting for a pumpkin that's in your house). The party was fun and small just like me. We didn't do too badly for a night of competing parties, and all I really remember is that coronas are good. Did I mention: I'm back on the beer! Beer is cheaper and I suddenly remembered that I do like the taste of some of it.

Sunday was spent chilling. I didn't sleep Saturday so I laid in bed til 4 pm on Sunday and then watched Halloween episodes of Buffy.

Monday - Happy Halloween - was great. We went to Room 5 on LaBrea. If you've never been there you should check it out. It's the lounge above this Italian restaurant. It was 5 bucks to get in and Jay Nash (my heart), Shawn Pander (The Hotness - as my friend has named him), Chris Pierce (Are You Beautiful), and Annmarie Cullin (Irish hottie who is in the band Saucy Monkey) all played. Oh, and Mike Vitale who was very John Mayer-esque in a good way. They traded off songs and each played in each other's.

I realized there is nothing I like more than sitting in a dark room and listening to three hours of music. I love going to shows. I would even rather go to a show now then see a movie. This is definitely a change for me.

Anyway, I have a birthday party to go tomorrow and then one on Saturday. And Sunday Sophia is taking me to see Brokeback Mountain (finally!!!!!) at the DGA. I am so excited for that movie I might actually pass out.
