A quick update...
Okay, so my new job is pretty cool as of yet. I really like being busy, starting the day at 10 am, and not dealing with 'cases.' Oh, and a ten minute commute isn't so shabby. It is a lot more creative too. And I'm not saying it's not shallow...but it's interesting. And I like my team. We have a lot of fun and craziness. It's not like working with Randi - but I can't have that at every gig.
Anyway, I'm feeling really good about it. So far. Hopefully it will be going on for another month and a half. Then I'll be out on the street :-)
So, feeling good about my job has infinitely improved my day. I don't even mind working longer hours and never leaving my desk. At least I'm not bored.
I watched Three Kings the other day and had forgotten how much I fucking love that movie. Also, Thelma and Louise totally holds up over time. Amy and I decided to go as them next year, although since neither of us are tall we don't know who will end up being Thelma.
I got my pirate wench costume. Come by our party and check me out! It's no Carrie costume, but I'll never beat that one.
I went on a maybe-date. I don't know. We'll see if there is a follow-up. I try to remain cool as a cucumber about those things. But it was not bad.
Okay, I know no one is going to agree with this. I know you all hated it. But I liked Elizabethtown! I don't care who hears it! I really liked it! i saw it twice, dammit (well, once was free). I am not ashamed. I thought it was messy, and emotional, and so imperfect and I didn't give a shit. There is something appealing, endearing, heartwarming about Cameron Crowe saying fuck all of you, I'm going to make a movie like that and that's the way it is. Anyway, I'm standing by this. And the thing with the listening exercise was fucking hilarious.
Seeing Sage Francis w/ Andy on Friday! I gotta see Saaaaagggeee!
Oh, and I finally saw America's Next Top Model. Since I work with a lot of people that worked on it I thought I should finally watch. Okay, that show is really good. I am shocked! I was missing out on something essential. Time to set the tivo...
Veronica Mars is the best show on TV. Just thought I should bring it up.
