LJ Protest Day thing
'tis all very interesting. I actually had a conversation today about gay marriage with Adam and how as it is at the moment I wouldn't undertake it. There are a few people saying don't call it marriage, which is fair enough. Call it what you want as long as we get the same protection under the law as currently married couples do. Perhaps even if it was all legal in the future and gay marriage/union/partnership was offered the same protection, I wouldn't do it, I don't know. But it would be good to be given the choice, and to be given the freedom to make that choice. Right now it is forced upon gay couples that they don't have equal rights when it comes to their relationships.
