It is a new year again, the time when most people look back on the past year and forward to the next. It is also the time of year when everyone is making reminiscive livejournal posts, except for me, because my life isn't that interesting. But this year it was! So sit back, relax, and read my life story of the past year. Or just close the browser.

January
Not too much exciting this month. Had to take final exams because of the "snow" on the last day of school last year. Trying to learn how to drive, and that's pretty much it.

February
The month that I turned sixteen. Along with my friends. Thus we had a weekend in Gatlinburg trip, which was the first time I really hung out with any friends much outside of school, and that was really fun. Though the birthday girl got a little annoyed by simple things, it was still a blast. Then my sweet sixteen rolled around, and got to spend it snowboarding with Morgan and Lee, lessons and all. Morgan just had to run into a few things, including me and a fence, and we spent the night in the hospital til 5am cause of Neosporin. But it made the trip all the more fun to tell about. haha

March
Well my parents always said I couldn't date until I was sixteen. And 2 weeks after my birthday my yearbook editor seemed to take an interest in me, so I agreed to go out with him even though I was still kind of uneasy about it. Even though that didn't last long, I'm glad I went. It was good first date, and a good experience. A whopping week after that was over, the minister's son Austin seemed to take interest in me as well. On the 25th we went to a baseball game with his family, thusly starting my first real relashionship.

April
Fairly busy month, but also relatively uneventful. Full of service projects for the ten thousand clubs I'm involved in, and lots of homework. I started to regularly hang out with various friends, including my new boyfriend. I had my first job interview at Sears, but needless to say that didn't go anywhere. This is also the month I had a 100+ degree temperature and passed out at school on the concrete....twice. Thusly missing the math contest the next day. I learned this month that if you don't feel well, don't go to school.

May
More service projects for school, and my spring piano recital. School let out, and Morgan had her nose surgery. Me, Mom, and Dad attended the required Path classes for adoption. Loads of fun. :P

June
Summer vacation. Was promised a job at the movie theatre. Austin got a job at the movie theatre. I got my liscence. Scary! Home studies for DCS, attending path classes, and hanging out with my peeps. Flew up to New Hampshire for cousin's graduation. Missed sweet tea, but a fun trip. Suffered through the last path class. Me and Austin's 3 month anniversary. Made weekly trips to the movie theatre about the promised job, but he just kept telling me to come back later. Totalll was of time. But it's not like I'm bitter.

July
Spent the 4th of July getting to meet Austin's extended family. Daddy bought a boat. Had a sleepover with my peeps Erica, Katie, & Amanda, and there experienced my first all nighter, and watched the worst movie in the world. I gave up on the movie theatre, and got job a Zaxby's. Hated it. But strangely it got better. Two weeks later Erica got a job there. And that made it better. Went vacationing to Myrtle Beach. This month I found out my scoliosis is 41 degrees, and that there is a possibility of surgery that I will find out for definite next February. Austin turns 17. 18 according to his driver's liscence.

August
Back to school, and working 20 hours a week at the same time. Not easy, but I managed pretty well. It helps when you have a History teacher that doesn't actually teach anything. Started appreciating my free time more. Not too much exciting in this month.

September
I bought a fish, which I stil have not properly named. Morgan and Lee break up, along with me and Austin. And I learned that breaking up is hard to do. It is the worst, knowing that it's not going to work out, but that it's for the best. But at the same time losing your best friend. And it is a strange feeling. He would visit everyday from noon til about 10pm everyday in the summer, and then talk on the phone until 3am. Emotional month. I believe this is the month we started having weekend visits with Megan and Hunter. This is the month I decided not to ever have kids. :-p

October
Went to a high school football game for the first time as a high schooler. Took the PSAT. Volunteered at animal shelter and Mountain Makings for clubs. Working and going to school doesn't leave time for much else.

November
Megan and Hunter move in. This house has never been the same. Thanksgiving was good, and I started to feel the pressures of upcoming finals. Homework really piled on, and unfortunately so were my work hours.

December
Lots and lots of homework. Had my very last piano recital after 11 years of lessons- which was quite a bit more emotional that I expected it to be. It's all part of change. And so much has changed since last year. Hunter and Megan are doing wonderfully. Still some issues to work out, but they are starting to grow on me. ;) Kyrie, Amanda, and Deborah, my good friends from middle, elementary, and high school, have jobs at Zaxby's. And I got employee of the month. haha. I was invited to two Christmas parties, only one of which I went to due to a stomach virus. But I'm extremely grateful for the friends I have. Christmas was very different, and very fun. It has been too long since I've looked out the window Christmas Eve night and looked for Santa. :)
