Holiday Plans
Well, I think I said on here that I was going to go up to Melbourne, FL with John to visit his family however, this has not worked out. His boss told him that he is not allowed to take the time off, stupid bitch, or he will not get all of his vacation days next year. She did this knowing he and I were going to go visit his family for the holidays and since she is a pathetic and lonely person she refuses to allow anyone else to be happy. *sigh* Instead, we're going to spend Christmas with my family. It should be fun but I was looking forward to meeting his family.
I think tonight John and I are going to go see The Golden Compass. He wants to attempt to see Beowulf again (we walked out last time because there was some crazy person inside cackling and making way too much noise) but I was so happy to leave when we last went. I didn't like it...And he wants to see it in 3D. *shakes head* 3D makes me dizzy.
I'll probably also read a lot of fic. I'm back into my old favorite - LOTR. Yes, I'm sad, leave me alone! :P I might have to put my H/W kid fic on hold and write a LOTR fic. Anyone here like LOTR? Probably not but you never know *shrug*. If you do, I'll be posting it on ff.net.
My best friend Cathy is also visiting!! She went to London for university and has been there for the last year and a half but she's decided to return to the US (probably NY) to finish university. Next semester, however, she is taking a break and will be volunteering in Zambia at a school. She's also going to spend a month in South Africa working with AIDs victims. She wants to be a social worker and figures this is good practice. I agree, however I am a little worried. She's already got all of her pills for Malaria and other diseases. I am going to force her to buy a mosquito net even though she swears the bites won't bother her.
Speaking of Cathy, I need to go buy her a Christmas gift. She got me a black baby doll shirt that my mom hates but I adore and I still haven't gotten her anything. Ah well. I'm off to Sunset Mall to find something at Forever 21 or Delias.
