Born Into Brothels
Last night I finished the documentary "Born Into Brothels". (You can find it on YouTube)It just reminded me of why I want to go into the Peace Corps before going to graduate school for anthropology. I was crying by the end of it. I just...it makes me feel bad and unworthy when I see those sorts of things going on. I don't understand why some people have more so much when children in some parts of the world are starving. I don't understand why people buy so many things they don't need when someone is selling sex to support their families. I don't understand why people ditch school when some people are doing drugs just to cope with their daily lives. I don't know why some people got lucky and why others didn't but I do know that I want to help those who didn't.
