Classes are over...bring on the finals

Dec 08, 2004 14:51

I walked into my Spanish class this afternoon, my last class of the day, as well as the last class of this semester, and on the board was a picture of little stick figures running out of a school (very happy and cute and joyful that classes were over), jumping off of a cliff and lying dead among the word FINALS. That pretty much sums up what life is going to be like for the next few days. I have two days to prepare for my two finals on Saturday, write two papers, work my ass off on another one due on Monday, along with a presentation, and convince my professor that he wants to come to campus early on Wednesday and let me take my Health Psych. exam then in order to catch my 2:55 flight outta' here. I also have to work at AE, finish Christmas shopping, finish Max's present, which for all of you who know what it is, know the ridiculous amount of time it will take to complete, AND pack...not to mention finish up the paper/presentation for Monday and actually take my Health exam. I also have to find time to run to Freddy's to pick up supplies for the food I have to make for Monday since we all decided that we have time to bring food to our presentations and go down to Aquatic Sports to pick up my scuba certificate. But those last few things can happen after Saturday which seems way too soon to be a final day.
I am very excited however, for it to be one week from now, when all of this os over and I am on my way to the airport. My friend Charlie apparently has connections at Frontier (his aunt is the person who hires and fires people there), so my flight stuff should get switched around. This means that I get to be home for a night which is really exciting since I haven't seen my family since August. It'll only be for a few hours, but its going to make me so less stressed out. I packed their gifts (the ones I have) in a suitcase so that my mom can wrap them for Christmas, so I don't need to worry about how i was going to get the wrapped and home in one piece. I can sleep in the next day and actually have time to shower and make sure that I have everything before heading off to London.
I am so excited for London.
I can't believe that I get to see Max so soon. It's always been so far away in the future that I don't think it has really hit me that I will actually be there in a little over a week ( 9 days 9 days!!!) I don't think it's going to hit until I land and have to find my way to the tube in order to get across London to Stansted. That train ride will be crazy though. All the nervous energy mixed with exhaustion probably will make me a little frazzled, but all that goes away once I *FINALLY* see him again. Oh, my God! No more long-distance...I can't wait!! I guess it keeps things exciting though....
Anyway, good luck to everyone as you finish up the semester. If I don't post again, I hope that everyone has a VERY safe and happy holiday season...
