Cannot believe I'm back at uni already, how rubbish. Still, I had a good break, and actually concentrated through nearly an entire lecture this afternoon, go me :D Several random things to post today:
-I should not be allowed out with Jas. We were left unsupervised in Asda for 15 minutes the other day and we ended up buying a Mills & Boon book each :S I should point out that we picked the ones that sounded like they'd be the funniest; mine was called Virgin: Wedded at the Italian's Convenience or something. It was hilarious, although it made absolutely no sense. At least I've read one now (a large portion of my day at work is spent reading the blurbs on the backs of them out loud to my colleagues, with prizes for the stupidest plotline). Jas and I will be spending a whole day together on Friday, God knows what will happen x)
-I found out that someone I know very well is gay the other day, which is not unusual in itself, but I found out through facebook. How 21st century lol. Also, my gaydar clearly needs fixing.
-Went to see an advance preview screening of In Bruges last night; it was really good. It was a (very) black comedy, and very
un-pc, but everyone was laughing at all the jokes (apart from the retarded fat black girl on a seesaw joke, you could almost hear the tumbleweed lol). The three leads (Colin Farrell, Brendan Gleeson, Ralph Fiennes) were really funny. My favourite line was from Brendan Gleeson: "Two manky hookers and a racist dwarf? I'm going to bed", although I also liked when he told Colin Farrell off for being 'Moody' :D (this will obv only make sense to Harry Potter fans). It was funny how the whole film was spent with Colin Farrell moaning about how crappy Bruges is, then on the way out we were handed leaflets inviting us to enter a competition to win a trip to Bruges :S (Proper sentence structure? What is this 'structure' you speak of?)
-Aaaaand, because everyone else is doing it:
Give me a topic -ANY TOPIC- and I will write my thoughts on it. The catch? You have to post this in your journal and I get to pick the topic you write about.
-Yay have finished all my work for uni, I can get down to doing some proper (and by proper I mean fictional) writing down tonight. Or I'll watch an entire cycle of America's Next Top Model. One of the two.
