I want to marry Timothy Spall now please

I'm a bit disturbed that I've posted twice in the last 2 weeks about loving Timothy Spall when he previously only showed up on my radar as ew!Wormtail, but the first time I was joking, this time I'm serious- the man rules :D The reason for this? I caved, and went to see Sweeney Todd this afternoon instead of doing my essay (a thousand apologies
wizadoradebora but I couldn't wait and I still want to go again on Friday X) ) This movie is the best thing I've ever seen, ever. Not that you should take much notice of that, as yesterday the best thing I'd ever seen ever was Oliver Reid drunk dancing on Parkinson. I loved it soo much I have to write about it now, so spoilers abound. I made it white so it's difficult to read, so highlight it if you've seen it (or want to be spoiled)

Ok, a few minor quibbles out of the way first. The lip synch was off in the first few songs, but it rectified itself quickly so that was all right. Next, I'm not sure if this is cause I know the story, but I thought it was kinda obvious that the beggar woman was Lucy cause every time Sweeney looked at her picture, it cut straight to the beggar lady. But that might be cause I was looking for clues. Lastly (I don't mind this so much cause it made me laugh), every person who got their throat cut flinched or grimaced before he even came near them with a razor. The only person who didn't was Alan Rickman, but I guess that's cause he's a professional X)
Johnny Depp- I really liked his portrayal of a man who's completely lost his mind, I thought his singing style really matched this, and his voice cracked when his mind did in Epiphany. Also the scene by the sea? Made of fabulous.
HBC- This film has completely changed my mind about her, she was fantastic, I kind of identified with her, in so much that I kept thinking 'I don't care about stupid Johanna, put some more people in pies already'. She sang really well too, in fact she was that good I didn't notice her boobs once, and apparently you could see her baby bump as well but I was so caught up in her performance that I didn't notice, which is rare as I'm very easily distracted in the cinema.
Alan Rickman- Good, but not his best movie, the other performances were too good for him to steal scenes like he usually does. He looked a bit like Father Christmas when he had shaving foam on his face :S And his fingernails? Ew. But I still want to eat his old man face off :D And I never thought I'd think his death scene wasn't gory enough; I thought he'd be clinging on to Mrs Lovett's skirts for a lot longer than he did. And it did remind me of what is to come in Harry Potter, so I was thinking 'Laugh it up now, cause it ain't gonna be funny in Deathly Hallows' D:
Timothy Spall- Oh God I love this man, he was SO funny, with his funny little expanding cane that reminded me of Lucius Malfoy's pimp cane. Oh and when he dropped Anthony's bag on his head? *dies* (I actually thought until last week that Beadle was the character's first name, not a name for a policeman in Victorian London. I fail)
Kid who played Toby- Awwwww <3 No more to say.
Girl who played Johanna- Blah. Made me think of Christina Ricci in Sleepy Hollow, plus her storyline doesn't interest me in the slightest. Where are the pies? (Btw you could totally tell who were the only two cast members who were musically trained- Johanna and Lucy- talk about showing off)
Boy who played Anthony- looked too much like Keira Knightley, although I did like when Timothy Spall beat the shit out of him with his funny cane then dropped his luggage on his head, and he just got back up and carried on singing :D

I loved the montage where he was killing all his customers, and the first one fell through the trap door and landed on his head, which for some reason i found hilarious. There wasn't as much blood as I thought there would be, and I was a little disappointed that the two people who I wanted to die were two of the only three who didn't :( but overall I heart it very much. And when Anthony Head had his cameo, it was all I could do not to shout 'GILES!'
But yeah. Awesomeness :D
